Workshop in Stip on the Topic "Youth and European values" was Held

On August 14, 2020, in the open air in the Youth Center in Stip, NECI NMK held a workshop on the topic "Youth and European values".

The workshop started with an interesting game of meeting and introducing the president of NECI NMK - Victoria Kukushev. This was followed by a screening of the short film Party Animal by Yorgos Zois made by young people through the #EUANDME campaign. Through a discussion about the film, the participants came to the conclusion that the enthusiasm and liveliness that young people have in themselves should not be extinguished and that every dream can become a reality with the help of the Youth Guarantee. Ivan Miladinov captured the most important facts and symbols of the European Union, as well as the purpose for which it was created, who are its members and how many official languages are spoken in the EU. After a short coffee break, Evgenija Doneva presented the universal European values and spoke more about the EU motto "United in diversity". This was followed by work in groups where the values of the EU were discussed and a comparison was made as to how much those values are respected in our country.

The next activity was a video call with a collaborator Pedro Gomez, representative of NECI Portugal who explained in detail how young people study and work there, how they have the freedom to study and work in other European countries, how Erasmus + projects take place there. He also presented the history of Portugal in an interesting way.

Finally, Evgenija talked about the benefits of the Youth Guarantee and the opportunities to travel and engage in intercultural exchanges in order for young people to be more open and accepting of other cultures and nations and to adopt European values.
